As always, there may be some affiliate links that provide me with some money if you click on them or purchase something. Not many, but I want you to have the ability to buy premium beans/brews without having to search far; Enjoy!
Stonehouse Coffee & Bar
Stationed within a brilliantly-built historical building from the 20th century, this coffee-spot has a cavernous balcony that overlooks South Lamar; making it the ideal spot for savoring that Caramel Macchiato and people watching.
Come by on your way to work and grab their signature Vietnamese coffee, the walk to the nearby taco-spot. If that doesn’t grab you, come back in the evening for their selection of beer and wine.
Caffe Medici at 8th/Congress
Don’t let life pass you by, whether it’s on-the-go or in a chair, this quaint location at 8th and Congress has treats for both lifestyles. Order up their Orion-blended expresso, topped with a fruit or chocolate finish at the walk-up window. Then try one of their pastries while sitting in the rocking chairs nearby, simply taking in all the scenery Austin has to offer.
Brentwood Social House
Aspiring Britain’s will savor this British-themed coffee-spot that presents exquisite treats such as sausage rolls, cheese pasties, caramelized onion & blue cheese tart, and even the Millionaire Bar.
In a nutshell, this coffeehouse represents every British Bakery show ever. This coffeehouse is massive, sporting multiple rooms, an outdoor scenic-patio, and sometimes invites independent bands to come play for events. If you’re looking for a spot explosive with culture, this is the place to be.
Lucky Lab Coffee Co.
This next spot was once a rundown place, hiding behind two retail stores. Now, as of 2017, it has moved into an actual brick/mortar location near the Colorado River.
This Austin based coffeehouse offers a very traditional selection of brews, such as the American Expresso, Macchiato, and House Chai Tea Lattes; where it differs is their six various syrup flavors to add into the coffee: Vanilla, Chocolate, White Chocolate, Caramel, Peppermint, and Sugar-Free Vanilla.
If the flavors of syrup already sold you, then you probably don’t want to look at their delicious menu.
Spokesman Coffee has an amazing variety of decorum plastered all over the interior, with murals painted by a fellow Austinite. What makes this coffeehouse special on this list isn’t simply the coffee, but how they brew it. They use a slow-roasting, in-house program that creates top-notch brew choices—from their Toddycoffee to the Cortado. Each choice leaving your mouth flavor-blasted!
