I didn’t mean to yell at the bartender.
All I wanted was an impeccable Corona and Atrial Rubicite at a decent price.
Was it too much to ask?
I hope you don’t run into this crap, stop using GoogleMaps to search ‘bars nearby’
You’re acting like a tourist and it embarrasses me, just stop. Let me simplify it.
Below is 3 of the tastiest taverns I found while exploring Houston, try them, enjoy them.
Also, there may be some affiliate links that provide me with some money if you click on them or purchase something. Not many, but I want you to have the ability to buy premium ales, lagers and brews without having to search far!
Anvil Bar & Refuge
This spot is Bobby Heugel’s first bar to put Houston’s mixed drink scene on the map, with an emphasis on appearance, and a vigorous collection of house-made hops, sodas, and herbal mixtures. The staff at Anvil Bar make a trip here spectacular, from their circus-style drink preparation to drink training sessions in staff education. These bartenders aren’t even allowed to serve you fine drinks until they pass a blind taste test. This Bar belongs on your bucket list; exciting, dynamic, and non-imitable is what makes Anvil Bar & Refuge a top contender in Houston’s bar scene.
Better Luck Tomorrow
This bar is the local hangout joint with a top-pick cast of incredible mixed drinks and tasty foods. In the spring of 2017, this neon-lit spot opened in what used to be a Dry Creek space. Weekly rotating wine lists, cocktail menu delicacies, and unique everyday foods make up this places’ vibe. This bar isn’t for the faint-hearted, come here with the expectation to drink and live merrily.
For socialites looking for more than the usual vodka and bourbon drinks, you can’t go wrong with Boheme. Spirits like aquavit and pisco meet home-grown ingredients such as pear bush and Thai spiced pineapple, bringing about absurdly refined tastes. Great beverages, like the exotic Moscow Donkey drink and a rum swizzle are the types of mouthwatering drinks this place has to offer.
